IT Managed Servers
The IT Systems Group keeps track of technology development and qualifies suitable hardware for use inside the DESY Computing Center. This includes selection of components with good driver support and long market lifetime, designing systems with suitable builtin redundancy, and using enclosures, interfaces and power supplies which fit both the internal components and the existing computer center network, power and air condition infrastructure. The qualified systems are recommended standard configurations for which IT can provide optimal support from acquisition to end of life.
